The Centre for Cognitive Ageing and Cognitive Epidemiology (CCACE) is research centre located in Edinburgh University. It is dedicated to the study of cognitive ability (intelligence), cognitive ageing, and cognitive epidemiology. Directed by Professor Ian Deary, and with ten core staff and around 30 Research Members, it is funded by the BBSRC, EPSRC, ESRC and MRC. This funding provides infrastructure support to support building capacity and conducting new activities, with the goal of significantly raising research quality, innovation and productivity; and enhance training of young non-clinical and clinical scientists in cognitive ageing and cognitive epidemiology.
